There is a full moon in Scorpio on May 12th.

The sun is opposite in Taurus, conjunct Uranus in Taurus, with Mercury nearby. This moon is about change, about uncovering hidden discontents so that they can be processed and shed, and about reconciling the discomfort of being a human being, alive in this moment. Scorpio wants to be free of the tethers of humanity, but is also wrapped up in them. Pluto, Scorpio’s ruling planet, has gone retrograde in Aquarius as of last week. Pluto moving into Aquarius last fall has created a big shift in the conversation around equity, justice, and power. As we go over the first degrees of Aquarius again, we are revisiting some of the same issues around who holds power, why, and for what use. It is a good thing to question why certain people hold the power when they abuse it, but it doesn’t feel good to have to witness and process this dynamic. You might be feeling the heaviness of the burden of experiencing this during this full moon. As a water sign, Scorpio wants to swim away, to disappear when it has to sit with pain or anguish. Everything we are feeling right now can help us to discover new healing tools, new coping skills, new ways to respond to the self when the self doesn’t feel great.
